Tohatsu Runpet works racer


In the year 2001, Mr. Naito accepted regarding the racing bike. It was a Tohatsu 50cc works motocrosser. At once, the bike ridden by "Hasemi" who was famous racing rider and driver.

The client want make it roadracer. Client request some another bike constructer before. But they could not even start. This bike was in bad condition. Many parts had lost. Mr. Naito made some parts, and fitted different bike's parts to this bike. He finished in a short space of time.



At point of bike be nearly complete, there are some problems. Mechanism of transmission didnt operated correctly. And the engine character is difficult to ride.

The transmission moved by ball rock system. As the ball had worn down, rider could not operate the transmission. Mr. Naito made many rod and ball. At last he could make the parts exact sizes.

Also he made some exhaust expansion chamber. But best one was none other than expansion chamber which fitted original motocrosser.

All the problems solved.


The bike will participate in 2001 Time Tunnel GP class ridden by Naito,jr.
