Kreidler Van Veen replica

My dream

I am webmaster of this site. I love small racer. Above all, I like Honda CR110 and Kreidler 50 very much. Already I own CR110, and I have a hard time of it.

I have dear friend, his name is Ian Plumridge. He will assemble the Kreidler for me. Already he have complete engine. He looked for the frame in Holland. He got this frame. My dream will come true.

March 2001
Make a beginning for the Kreidler.

Rational shape. Just like the Honda CR110. A point of difference between Kreidler frame and CR110 frame is also difference in type of both engine.

Frame is a copy of the 1974 'works machine used by Jan De Vries. The frame that I bought in Holland was built on an original Van Veen 'jig', and was the last one that 'Rinus' had made.

Started assembling. Already some parts have installed.

I think 85% of the parts are genuine Van Veen race parts, the engine is a standard 'kit' dry clutch motor producing around '16.5 bhp fitted with original 'bing' 28mm carburetor.

September 2003
Progress toward the accomplishment.

Fitted engine to the frame. Aluminium integral fuel tank in the frame tubes above the engine. Krober 1221 ignition system. Marzocchi front forks.

Bosch water pump imported from Germany. Bing caburetor.

New expansion chamber imported from Holland.
